Moises M. Rodrigues

Moises M. Rodrigues is a respected community leader in Brockton, with over 25 years of experience in public administration, social services, and local activism. He has served as Communications Director for the City of Brockton and was the cityโ€™s first Black Interim Mayor during a time of emergency transition.

A Cape Verdean immigrant and United States Navy veteran (1983โ€“1989), Moises holds a degree in Human Services and Community Relations from the University of Massachusetts and was elected as a Member of the National Parliament of Cape Verde in 2001.

Currently, he serves as City Councilor-at-Large in Brockton and as Executive Director of the Cape Verdean Association of Brockton. He also sits on key community boards including Old Colony YMCA and St. Edith Stein.

With a deep commitment to education, public safety, and social justice, Moises believes in a united, safe Brockton with opportunities for everyone.
